Tweakage
Honestly I'm as bored of writing these articles as you are of reading them :). On today's menu, we have more tweaks of a typically obsessive fashion. The largest change overall is the redesigned footer section, which in my opinion needed cleaning up from day #1 of releasing this design. I've tried to make it look much cleaner and more well-defined. Give it some more character too.
The Web2.0-ey stamp has gone into the dustbin history - a result of my obsession with minimalism. The article envelope has been relegated to the secondary content (for purely aesthetic reasons. Im just demoing the idea currently). Ive created a fancy new header to replace the sunflower design, using and modding some stock illustration I purchased from istockphoto (it's meant to be me up on that mountain, you see ;). ). Oh, and I've upped the usability by adding the navigation and page top anchor links to the fixed header too.
Feel free to give your feedback as always. I'm going to take a small, well deserved break from pimping up this site, because frankly I never seem to come to any real resolution - I just seem to find more and more ways in which to waste my time. It's like trying the perfect the imperfectible - completely impossible.
Cheers, y'all. I'm off to bed.

I like the re-jigged footer - it looses nothing, but is more pleasant to look at.
It's the designers' curse - aiming for perfection, but having to know when to stop ;-)

Nice tweaks Steve. After a hard refresh all was clear ;)
Header looks much better imo and the footer area looks far more organised than previously. Good stuff.
Nice article in .net btw. Very interesting mate, fair play.

I have to say, I'm glad to see the little stamp meet its maker. Also, it's quite inspiring to see so much work be done on your site. Well done man.
