Schwarzenegger and Telesales

An abstract title if ever you heard one. But love the Austrian tree trunk or hate him he does play an integral part in this lesson on how to turn a bad situation into a good experience. Fear not, all will be revealed.

You have been sitting staring at your computer screen for the past hour, and have finally found "the zone" - a place where true creativity begins to sparkle and complex problems become less of a hurdle. Then the phone rings...

The overkill politeness puts you immediately on guard. You know what's to follow, but don't have the heart (yet) to tell the anoying little prick to get lost.

Before you hang up, hold that phone... here the lesson begins. You change your tactics;

You utter your office mates to silence, place the polite gentlemanbastard who so rudely disturbed your concentration on speaker phone and turn up the volume on your computer. Then you follow this link.

Before long you'll wish telesales staff would call you more often.
